My good buddy Chris Coffey in Nashville, TN at Coffey Fabrication and Race Prep is putting together this car for me as a shop build and to show his vast skills in building street/race cars. He is doing the cage, turbo setup, trans mount, and fuel/cooling systems.
Doing swing out door bars but need to buy seats for it 1st. Below the rear package tray is a crossbar in the trunk to connect the two rear down bars. In that trunk area I want to put a 5 gallon water cell for the intercooler.
This is a full 8.50 legal chromemoly cage. Motor is an alum 5.3 with ported heads, baby 225/223 cam, LS6 intake, billet wheel GTS76 turbo, a/w intercooler, a/c, p/s, Ford 9" with 35 spline axles/3.25 gears, T56 Magnum, McLeod twin disc. Goal is a fast street car that can be driven anywhere, get 20mpg+ highway, and runs 9's
.
Next up is the hot/cold side for the turbo. Intercooler most likely is going on the passenger side up high by the firewall.
The last picture is his chassis table for building frames. He likes the top speed stuff at Bonneville and has built a few insane cars for that type of racing.
