seriously considering the Samberg 8.8 solid axle setup.
im building a straight line car. im not worried about turns. I do still wanna cruise on the street with the car. my main concern is I want traction / stronger rear. any inputs on your experience with this set up would be great.
thanks in advance

The Samberg rear works good as a bolt in kit. A custom kit where you back half the car from a real race shop with a proven history would be better IMO.
That being said the best 60' time I have heard of with the Samberg kit is in the high 1.30's and running 8.30's@165mph+.
On the LS9 Turbo car I have with the kit it drives well on the street. I would probably opt for a rear anti roll bar that is race oriented. Being solid joints it is louder than stock as the rubber isolators are gone. My suspension setup is far from ideal (Tein coilvoers) and needs drag race oriented suspension to take max advantage of the kit.
