Also I noticed my braided lines are mighty close to the exhaust should I be worried about boiling the fluid?

I would...  The internal slave of a the LS1 can be finicky.  Organic friction disks can work clutch dust past the hydraulic seal (there's some info and links in my build thread) so they don't need any extra challenges with heat at the same time.  At a minimum I'd try to run the line as far from exhaust as you think is realistic and then wrap it in insulation.  I used a rubber hose split end to end.

I used DEI firesleeve over my clutch line for a little extra insurance here. It was $25 bucks, but worth not having a clutch pedal issue at an inopportune time. My clutch line comes about 1/2 inch from the header in one spot.

+1 on that!

I did the exact same thing, cheap insurance.

Sent the MSD stuff back this week. They are taking these prototype parts back and sending me new production models. Hopefully it will help sort out the issues I've been having.

That would certainly explain the "odd" behaviors.

Car was falling on it's face after WOT, was sending false crank sensor failure codes, randomly going in and out of "learning mode", would start up and run, then next time be hard to start, running super rich.. stuff like that.

That is awesome that they are taking care of you. That would not have been fun if you have had to pull it out and swap it out with something else entirely

Wow...that sounds like a troubleshooting nightmare.  >:(

It is great that they are standing by their reputation and taking care of it for the customer. The new version should be hopefully all squared away and bugs worked out of the system.

Got all the new atomic stuff in.. Except the coils.. They were recalled again. So I have to wait on that.. But plenty of other things to do.

Getting stuff done:

- replaced the steering wheel with s2 4 split spoke FB wheel looks cool..
- Ordered s5 rubberized surround for dash so I can work on some guages and cleaning up the inside a bit
- Reworking much of the wiring, covering, shielding etc
-Finishing the cage mounting.. most of it wasn't done.
- I reset the swaybars and end links
- Installed a way cool "OEM" SS shift ball.. pretty neat
- Ordered a 6ft extension cable to bring the handheld into the cabin.

Put the car back together today.. Geez.. Same as before, no new changes after replacing the entire MSD system... And running stock ls1 coils.
HELP!!

Ok, the only other thing I can think of.. The valve cover ports for pcv are exoposed to the atmosphere with the ports on the manifold blocked.. When I sealed them it made no difference.

I will mess with that tomorrow.. but I am losing my mind.

The PCV ports won't make enough difference to matter.

Any data logging?  What is happening to the air/fuel ratio?

With the MSD I can set the AFR, and it is staying pretty solid around 14.6.

I found an open vac port a few minutes ago attached to the bottom side of the TB, I'm hoping that was it.. Won't be able to start it till tomorrow due to respecting the neighbors.

The ports on the bottom of the TB are for coolant.

Shoot... I thought I was on to something...

I checked for vac ports back by the MAP which don't exist on my car. There are no vac ports at all by the MAP sensor..

Wondering also about the speed sensor.. It's not hooked up, not sure why that would matter.. Don't even know how to hook it up but long shot..
