There are many rumoprs that the bore to stroke ratio of the 4.8 is more favorable to a boosted engine. Now they need to do the same test with teh same kit on an iron 5.3, 6.0, and LS1 and L33.

that was my frustration with the article... i now need to see the results with the 5.3 and 6.0! I also would have preferred they fix the 'ignition' failure and run it to mechanical failure as they promised.

The magazines are actually on a very tight budget now and do pay for the dyno time. If they ran out of time, which I'm sure they did, they can't just come back another day. There are a lot of runs there and a lot of data. Its one of the better stories I've seen done in quite a while.

not to mention the engines condition before and after. Id like to get a mic reading before and after on the bearings after that. Its free to tear down the engine and inspect it!

Hmm... so should I gap my rings larger before I put my motor in? BTW the CXRacing / chinese turbos are good other than the piston rings - they like to fail quickly - rebuilding with good garrett rings would cost you less than $20, but you do need a way to put it back together and make sure it's balanced...

Probably depends on the power output you are going after. We have been well over 650 to the rear wheels with no regapping.
Standard gap on a mid nine run, and standard gap on some low nine runs with E85. These cars were all 3200lb to 3500 lb weight.
