FC Mandeville Big Brake SpecialIt takes a great deal of work to set up a business when you are three enthusiasts learning about the business as you go. From production and supply train setup, to demanding the highest levels of quality control, to making sure our customers are happy and getting the support we all deserve, it just takes a notable amount of effort.
Well Ronin just passed two significant milestones.
1) June 30th marked the end of our first fiscal year
2) We now have all business formalities complete (all Federal and State filings have been approved, LLC status has been granted, we have our City of Tustin business license, and most recently we finally got set up with product liability insurance.)
To celebrate we’re offering a deal on our FC Mandeville Big Brake conversion. We really want to start moving these in earnest.
Now through the end of August our full FC kit will be available for $299 a discount of almost 40% vs. MSRP. Add 7.75% sales tax if you’re in CA and $15 for shipping and handling if required. Payments via paypal go to roninspeedworks@gmail.com. We also now have our own credit card processing and will post up as that gets fully integrated into the website.
We have these in stock and they can ship almost immediately.
Details:
This is a DIY big brake kit for the FC that uses spacers and adaptor brackets to allow use of your OEM 4-piston calipers with brake rotors from Brembo equipped 350Zs (to be purchased separately). The 350z rotor in question is 2" larger in diameter and more than a 1/4" thicker so the increase in thermal mass is substantial. Furthermore, a wide variety of 350z rotors are available up to and including "direct replacement" two piece curved vane style. Significant effort has been made to optimize pad engagement with the new rotors. As such use of this kit will require users to grind open the caliper slot. The caliper spacers to account for added thickness are precisely profiled to serve as a guide with how much to grind. Full details are in the instructions.
This is a front brake kit only. It comes with:2 Caliper relocation brackets w/ key locked threaded steel inserts
4 Caliper spacers
4 O-rings (for spacer to caliper sealing, other O-ring is factory)
8 Upsized bridge bolts (and damn these were hard to find)
2 Wheel spacers (account for decreased rotor thickness)
4 M12-1.25 x 35mm bolts (caliper to bracket mounting)
4 M12-1.25 x 30mm bolts (knuckle to bracket mounting)
8 Nordlock washers
1 Extremely detailed install document including all torque information.
Plan on +$200 for basic rotors and rotor machining (you need to open up the center bore of the 350z rotor to maintain hubcentricity) and you simply can't get better brakes at this price. You will need 17" wheels to run these brakes; they require 1" clearance more to wheel spokes than the OEM setup.
