I didn't want to do this because he seems like a nice guy but after seeing that he is ripping people off over on the rx87club I didn't want people here to get scammed. First off I trailered a FD up to Michigan 5 hours away to sell to him. After I arrived at the designated meeting point he stopped answering his calls and texts. It was late at night so I had to rent a room and hoped he would answer. He never did until I got back home the next day. He had a lot of excuses about his bank and such. In the end he did end up buying the roller but never offered to reimburse me for my drive up there. That was the year before last. Just this past winter he offered to buy another SSM car and have me build it for him. I agreed to do it if he sent me a deposit this time and he said he dropped it in the mail. Weeks went by and no check showed. He never responded.
So today I am trolling around on the rx7club and noticed his name came up. He is aparently scamming a few people there out of thousands of dollars. Here is the link.
http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=953810 I know he was trying to sell some heads on here and I just didn't want to see anyone get ripped off.
That really sucks that good people get scammed like that and it appears that he is a member of several other forums too...I dont remember dealing with him but will definately keep that name in mind....
That's unfortunate to hear.
Leave him a negative feedback if he's a member here (technically, it sounds like 2 negatives are in order...).
Guess I am not surprised. I bought some parts from him on this forum and he did deliver, eventually. After 18 days and with my patience running thin from lame excuses, this was his response to my inquiry: "Go change your tampon they are on the way!". Hmm.
So, I eventually got the parts I paid for but would never deal with him again.
good to know the early warning systym is in effect over here,he has zero feedback at the club so some people should give him what he deserves,at least a -3
Makes me nervous buying from the club. I'm so used to having a picture of the part with the date/forum name written on a piece of paper to prove they actually have the part.
Never ran across him on either forums, but good to know!
This sucks!! I hate seeing threads like this!!
On another note im glad he flaked on the ssm
News to me? I did have trouble shipping a rotary short block, the guy denied shipping I have it back and refunded 100% including what I spent on shipping a scammer doesn't do that. I am happy to hear from anyone I owe money to. I admit I didn't ship some things very timely I had just been laid off and spend every minute i have to look for a job the intent was never to rip anyone off.
