This car is well known even Down Under.

Thank you for your pioneer work.

I love my LS FD and appreciate the inputs you have had over the years to the development of these amazing cars.

Sad to hear it, but I completely understand.  Cars are just transportation.

Meh, I could understand 15k if it had a cool camelion paint job, but its just a blue FD roller.   Nothing special.  :P

Sorry to see you go Jim.  You made a difference in what a lot of us thought was possible.  I'd love to give this a good home, but like you said, sometimes your priorities just lie elsewhere.

LOL. It has about $1,800 worth of "cool" chameleon (DuPoint Chromalusion Absolute Purpleen Prizm, to be exact) paint under the blue. Is that good enough?

Yeah, still in the area. I had half of the list typed up yesterday but lost it in a refresh. I'll give it another shot later today.

If I can't get what I want for it, I'll probably part it out. Call it silliness, but I really don't care anymore. It's like having to live with your ex-wife. ;)

Jim,
Let me echo the sentiments of others.  It is a real loss for the community to lose you as a member.  I can't tell you how often I have considered walking away from my car, in the mere 5 years it has been out of service.  I recognize the validity of the ex-wife reference completely.  Sometimes all you can focus on are the faults that you have tried to deal with too many times only to end in frustration (headlights).  Uncompromising men are easy to admire....

Good luck with your theater - your old projector has done nothing but serve me well.   :yay:

Yeah, Jim and his computer skills are questionable at best.   ;)

Sorry to hear this project not get finished.... but as time goes on... little things like car projects don't seem as important that's for sure.  After all the work you put into it you should simply pay someone to finish the damn thing and get some satisfaction for all your work/effort/research put into it!

If you total up all the paintwork, low mileage car, suspension bits, big brakes, rear diff setup, rims/tires etc..... even without an engine/trans this is a good deal for a buyer.  I would like to see the complete parts list.

A low mileage car with perfect paint (it won't be since it is 15+ years old) is probably $7500.  Then that whooshing sound coming from your pocket is the money flying out of your wallet for upgrades.  A nice quality paintjob with the engine bay/door jams done is easily $4-5K.  So if you buy a car with faded paint for $5K, add another $4-5K for paint... you still won't have half the upgrades this car has unless you have crazy hookups and a lot of time on your hands to do it all yourself.

Good luck with the sale!  Bummer to see it go.

It's that damn Microsoft IE again  :poke:

For 15k this car is a deal. Sucks to see you finally give up, but I can understand. Priorities change.
