Looks awesome. My house/garage has heated floors, but my house was built in 1965 and they used copper pipes. The garage is spancrete (basement below). If I turn on that zone for the garage floor heat, it rains in the basement. So it's useless.
I'm not sure if it's a concern today with different materials being used, but you may want to consider more than 1 zone in case there is any type of failure/crack in the piping. You will have some sort of redundancy and don't have to abandon the entire system.
Food for thought.

That sucks about the useless radiant floor. I have 1 zone, but there are 6 loops, so if any of those fail, I can close them individually and it will still heat the place enough.

This is fucking sweet. I gotta get me one of these set ups. maybe when I stop blowing all my dough on this money pit FD ill be able to save up lol. chances are ill find another money pit after that.. speaking of money pits- the RCR superlite coupe has been on my to-do list for a while...... and that would probably come before a nice place to work on it... (kinda backwards order huh- build the car then get the shop?)

Also the aquaplex or what ever brand you used will last a lot longer than copper in the concrete. I'm super jealous of your space.
How much you think you will have into it when its all done.

I saw this post and got excited.... I have a shop project in the works too :-) it will be my new home for my 91 vert project. (Planning on road car, with LS2or3 t56)
Im in south Texas so no need for radiant heating lol... or worry about leaks. Here we just deal with the bird sized mosquitoes and the occasional hurricane that blows everything away. ;-) focusing on good windstorm insurance...
Im doing a 20x40 (no other space on my property for anything else) with another added 2 carport next to it (giving lots of outside pullout space. I plan on a 10x20 mancave inside with stairs and storage above. One car lift inside, with most everything the post author has for his shop. 13ft boxed metal eaves and roof, square tube frame with a Hardi plank exterior. It will be the best I can do for the $$$$ that is still 130mph windrated so I will be able to get windstorm certification. As I mentioned that is important out here. :-)
I never thought of doing a "build thread" of my garage ... lol... its really cool seeing others doing it too, makes me look forward to mine! (Still waiting after over a month waiting for the city to put in my culverts ;-)

All said and done if I stay on my planned budget, it will be around 28-30k. Could of bought my supra when I think about it like that
Junky, I am planning on building one of those RCR super lights aswell, they look badass.
The concrete is down, I'll get some pics up tonight.

Looks great Damon. I'm sure you'll put that place to good use.
