« on: September 02, 2011, 04:31:08 PM »
lil bit of FML moment when i got back in town

80 lb injectors  -6AN feed line  walbro feeding a 044 pump ( need a bigger fuel line and more pump/injector

COAN TH400 on a simple LQ4 build

turbo of course =)

did a 790 WHP hit but turned the boost down due to high injector duty cycle.

im happy =)  its making the same power as before but on less boost due to TFS heads.

yeah ... the gas mileage is already in the single digits i'd hate to see what it'd be with E85 !!!

Well, at least now we know why your "tuner" locked it...  He didn't want anyone to know he's a dumbass.  Any monkey can target an air fuel ratio and move the timing until they get max power.  The ability to get good drivability and fuel efficiency is another matter entirely.  As someone who has done this for 30 years, I recommend you get a new tuner.

Not bagging on you at all, don't take this the wrong way.  Car looks great and runs strong.

unless you own a turbo ls9 rx7 you do not know what the fuck you are talking about.

Single digit?    OUCH.

prob 9 -11 mpg on the city streets . i rarely ever drive it on fwy  just because i dont take it very far.    another thing to mention is that my MPH is not entirely accurate because im going off the front wheel ABS sensor for a reference point with a  mathematical equation to figure out what number ratio in input into HP tuners.   My supra on E85 gets about 13 MPG on  E85 with 750 wheel.  i already experience E85 and the type of gas mileage. put a V8 on that and i'd hate to imagine what it'd be like.  my supras been street and dyno tuned by Johnreedracing.  tuner of underground racing TT lambos, hennsey racing cars, Virtual works supra etc.  very very very good tuner.

my camaro is tuned by a local company though.

I spent a TON of time on my drivability tune. When I first started I was getting around 9mpg on my setup which I mostly drive city as well. I am getting 13-15 now and I mostly just drive around town here and do pulls. I want to do a hy tank of gas to dial that in perfect and see what kind of mpg it gets.

Interesting.   I got about 18 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with my car on gasoline.   That was with a stalled automatic too.

I see around 13 city and 20 highway with it on E85 now.   Similar power output.  I do have 3.07 gears and a lockup converter though.

Judging my MPG is really hard since I don't ever just cruise my car. When it comes out it is getting beaten and that is it really.
