I hear ya man. I once bought a car that never ran and it pissed me off. I am fortunate that mine was fully restored when I picked it up hence the huge price tag. I beat the crap out of the 12a over the two weeks I was home. Now I just want to get to it and get started on it. I picked up the tranny brace from grannies to get a basic point of reference for level after I get the motor mounts fabbed, I will make another tranny brace that more fits my needs (2 pipes into 3" back). Problem I am going to have is fitting it all with the torque arm kit.

For wheels I would recommend calling rota up and finding something. They make custom offsets and bolt patterns for whatever you pick out.

This project has been on the back burner for the past month, I have been doing little things along the way. I routed the PCM connectors under the dash and I have half of the fuse block wiring ready for a fuse block. I sent my Aluminum radiator back to the shop to get the mounting brackets I need  redone, he is a good welder but not the best at understanding directions. I am also using the truck intake, water pump, and crank pulley. With that I made my own Alternator mounting and idler pulley. My block came with the lower hole already threaded for some reason, lucky me.

So here is the shopping list as it sits
Better Headers, full exhaust back
LS1 intake, Water pump, Crank pulley
Driveshaft and conversion flange....
Ford 8.8 with all the conversion brackets and Limited slip (maybe)
Radiator hoses
Throttle Cable
Install Clutch Master cyl (I need to cut a 1 3/8" hole in the firewall for this)

Yesterday I had some more progress, and it felt good!

I found a sweet deal on a 1 3/8" multistep drill bit to make the clutch master hole larger, 12.99 on sale! Beats $40 that Macs wants for a reconditioned drill bit. So I drilled and installed the New Tilton 13/16" Master Cylinder, bleed it, and bleed the clutch with the help of my friend. Only slight modification to the lip on the firewall to clear the big reservoir, the stock bolt holes lined up nicely, and the stock pedal bracket threaded right on.

After that I flipped my idler bracket around for shorter belt routing and more room for an air intake later, cut and measured out for a serp belt that I will pick up today.

I found out that I can unbolt the front sway bar and link bar bracket so I can drop it down to get the radiator in. The lower radiator hose connection is a PITA right were the sway bar sits. Pics to come of radiator install after it is done at the aluminum welding shop again.

Stock brakes until I swap the rear end and front brakes. I need to get a feel for this car in stock form plus 200 hp, then I will work on the suspension.

I just finished my 8.8 SA swap. Really wasn't all that terribly hard. Check out my Project SleepR build thread for info. I'm confident you could do it on your own :)

Progress! well sorta lol

I finally got the radiator mounted, along with a fan. I put together some radiator hoses just to get the job done until I get a LS3 or L99 water pump.
I picked up a fuse box, and I'm still working of the wiring.

and I picked up a nice new jack, smooth and fast lifting

I finally got around to finishing my wiring, rigged up a fuse box, and re-purposed some stock relays. My friend picked up a starter for me today so I decided to give it a crank. It fired right away but did not run, damn security systems! I need to find a tuner around here or break down and send it off for a tune.  On a side note, pretty cool that flames shoot out of open headers!
