This is something I never really considered. How would one know if they'll need longer studs before putting the wheels on?

Have a good idea how thick the center section is on your given rims and let that decide the length of the stud.  BTW, if you go with the long ones you'll never have to worry about "will they fit" with any new rims in the future.

Anyone have the part numbers for the open shank ones or no threads for the 1st little bit.  I'm getting ready for nascar pit stops here and that is a must.

Summit calls it a quick start nose

But these look to be a little short

They are long as hell I dont see how any rim setup would not work with these studs.

Its got to be 2.2" of threads

got a response from summit

The wheel studs you are looking at measure 2.5" overall. This measurement would include the quick start nose, knurl, and head.

Just wanted to put this up here for reference. I took this picture comparing OEM FC and FD wheel studs next to ARP extended studs. Hopefully this helps everyone

Wheel studs can be purchased from my website www.j-auto.net  ;)

will a stud with a .505 curl work also?

reason I ask is because I am trying to order the 2.5 inch arp ones but they are out of stock and  moser has 2.5 inch studs but they have a .505 curl instead of the .509?

thanks

To me that's not enough of a press fit for a wheel stud?  It also has to do with how fine the curl.
