I am considering replacing my roof insert ,its rusty, the sunroof does not operate and will  not. What has your experience been with them? Who makes them?
Thanks for any input

The only carbon fiber sunroofs that I've seen or used bolted to the stock sunroof motor/frame. There are/were carbon sunroof "plugs" for the FD, but I don't think there is one available for FC.
LRB makes an aluminum rivet-on panel that fits well and allows you to remove the entire sunroof motor/track. If you do a little trimming to the sheet metal, you can actually fit a non-sunroof headliner also. That's what I did and it shed almost 30# from the roof and added noticeable head room.
