s4 to s5 harness swap
« on: October 08, 2020, 11:52:47 PM »
I currently have a ls1 harness that came from my 88 turbo that was convrted by pez and long story short I am taking everyting out of the 88 and swapping it into an s5. Does anyone know if there is anything I am going to have to change with the harness or will I be able to plug it in and go?

Plugs are different between S4/S5. S5 went to a more robust plug design

So more than likely I will either need to swap the connectors?  Or will i be better off pulling up both wirng diagrams and going that route.

i would pull the diagrams to be sure. 88 model year change is closer to S5 than 86/87 so you might luck out. I forgot where I found that but it was recently, probably in the Hayne's wiring diagram. Also the Granny's write up would probably be super helpful - I'm sure their stuff is identical to Pez.
