Magnum transmissions

You have a lot of experience with the Magnum transmissions and I was originally looking at an lt1 t56 to ls1 conversion with a stage 2 kit. I am now leaning more towards a magnum transmission as it would be nice to have a brand new transmission that I could easily run 600 ft lbs through and not worry about if I wanted. I would like to run something like an lc9 per your advice in the future with some forced induction along with an 8.8.

With all of that being said, in the fc body, is the magnum f the transmission to go with? If I go magnum f, do people who drive their cars on the street tend to go wide or close ratio?

Close ratio. Only real downside is the higher rpm at cruise in 6th. Wide spread 1st is too short for our light cars.
F will fit fine.

99.9% of the Magnums I sell are close ratio.  Only wide ratio ones I sell are for people trying to get 1 mpg better and don't care about the crappy 1-5th gear spread with varied RPM drops.

The Close ratio is where it is at.  Magnum F style puts the shifter in the proper location for RX-7's and pretty much every other swap out there as well.
