Travis in Iowa
« on: October 24, 2019, 05:14:56 PM »
Hello everybody . I have been a member since 2014 but this is my first post. As the title states, I live in Iowa. I like most things motorized, hunting, fishing, and typical guy stuff (except for watching sports).

I am making my first post today because I think I am going to move my build thread over here. I started it over on ls1tech but nobody really cares over there. I have had one comment, and that was that I should have my build thread over here as well. Lol

I have a 2005 Rx8 that is getting a l77/6l80  combo out of a 2012 caprice ppv. Of course, knowing myself, I wont settle for "just running and driveable" I plan on keeping as many of the factory luxuries as I can.

Its a cool car, I just wish I could have driven it before the old rotary was gutted out of it, just so I would have had a comparison.

Well I was going to write more, but I suppose I should save some material for my build thread.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Travis!  Where in Iowa are you?  I'm in Clear Lake.  I'll watch for the build thread!  If you need a T56 I may have that would work for you be nice not to have to ship it either!  RX8 are awesome I want one but never could find a clean swap keeping the amenities of factory.  Good luck!

Im in the Quad Cities, on the Iowa side. Im swapping an 88 FC GXL. Taking apart this car has given me a huge appreciation for how cool they are. If I spent more time on this site, Id be farther along on my project. Good luck.
