Some drag runs from yesterday - new PB LS2 FD
« on: February 05, 2018, 04:21:34 PM »
So I was out racing this weekend and brought my FD along to make a couple passes.  Hit a new PB in worse conditions, no tail wind, and managed my best 60' ever on RE71R tires.  Super happy with the 11.18!

The two videos are of my last run, and getting thrown out for the day haha.  No roll bar at 11.50 and faster..they didn't notice my 11.18 the run before.  I made a couple 11.80 runs at 75 mph before that lol.  Brakes work damn good at the 1000 foot  :secret:

Tried to get off the line a bit quicker on the last run and the tires just couldn't hold it.  Pretty sick video though, and it's a single run so the sound is awesome.  I lost 4 mph at the 1/8 spinning way past the tree.

Car is 100% street and setup for handling.  Not a drag car by any means, so I'm really happy with these runs.  All I did was go full soft on the front shocks and ran the rears at my canyon setting.

Nissan GTR was out running 11.20@121 mph having perfect AWD launches.  Wish we could have lined up at some point, but I got bounced.

Nice runs.  What tranny is that?  It looks like it shifts so smoothly.

T56 Magnum. You donít even feel it going in gear. I canít believe how fast and smooth it shifts. I powershifted my 11.18 run and donít think I gained anything so that was my one and only shot at it. I feel pretty good about my shift speed even with a slight lift lol.

Thanks guys! Proud of that run for sure. People sure are surprised by it.

Better yet the car has almost 20k miles on it since I swapped it 3 years ago, and I stored it for 1 of those years while I was away for work!

That FD looks soooo good in white.

With lower DA I'm sure that thing has way more mph in it.  My heads/cam/headers LS1 was turning that mph in the 1/8 and 1/4  (100mph/128mph)

Definitely does! Sac and Sonoma are way faster than Fontana. Fontana is about 1200 foot altitude to begin with, and then shitty air on top of that.
