I have used the fittings from getfast1 on eBay almost exclusively. Not a single issue.

How about the hose from Getfast1?  Nylon or SS?  I'm leaning toward the nylon, but concerned where it goes within 6" or so of the header on the way to the Accusump.
I guess I could firesleeve that section.

I looked at Fasster's ebay store, but he has EVERYTHING lumped into the "other" category, which makes it tedious to find stuff.  :banghead:  I got no time for that!

I got in touch with Wayne at Fassterllc.
He got me a very reasonable quote, so I'm ordering everything from him.
Hopefully the quality is up to snuff.

Thanks for all the input guys, even you Joe.   :yay:

I bought a ton of Fasster fittings and hose last month for all of my turbo and fuel lines. I've been impressed with the quality and their selection of obscure and unique fittings. They make some pretty cool 2-1 wye fittings that I've not seen elsewhere.

I got a response from ANFITTINGSDIRECT today.
They thanked me for the photos showing the dimensional discrepancy, and said they're sending a prepaid shipping label to return everything for a full refund, including my original shipping charge.

I'm glad to report that they did do the right thing.   :)

Their fittings and hose looked to be good quality, but the dimensions were just not represented accurately on the site.
Hopefully they can get that corrected for future customers.

That's pretty cool they are doing that and admitting they were wrong.  one of those two ebay stores is in Richmond too, but I forget which one

Getfast1 is in VA, I think it said Waynesboro or something similar.
Fasster's quote was several bucks cheaper, and I saved on sales tax too.

WELL SHIT!!!   :barf:

Doesn't anyone pay attention to details anymore?

I received the shipment from Wayne at Fasster.
The fittings look to be high quality, and are the correct -8AN size and type, but the hose they sent is PTFE lined, and much smaller similar to that from anfittingsdirect.   :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
He also failed to include the side port adapter I ordered.

I've both texted and emailed him, letting him know I took off work to get this thing plumbed, and requesting he get the correct stuff to me by Saturday, but haven't heard back yet.  ::)

I think this is somewhat common.

Parker Hydraulics sells a special line of PTFE-line hose called “True-Bore” that actually has the measured bore size for the call out. So 6AN would actually be 0.375” ID. The mention that another product line  S30-6 is nominally size and actually 5/16” ID. I think this has something to do with most plastic tubing being sold by OD. So a standard 6AN PTFE line probably has a 0.375” OD of the liner and nominally 5/16” ID.

Well, it's been 15 hours now since I notified Wayne of his error, with absolutely NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER!   :banghead:

When I was considering buying from him, he responded to texts within an hour, but now that I have a problem, I get nothing.
His voice mail is full, and he won't answer the phone.

Blake, would you mind shooting him a quick text and see if he'll respond?  I'd like to know if he's ignoring me specifically, or maybe there's something else keeping him from getting his messages.

Thanks,
David

Looks like I'm SOL!!!

I just checked Wayne's ebay store and there's a message that he's racing in the Baja 1000, and won't return until Sunday, which means I won't get the hose until Tuesday at best, and I go back to work on Wed.   :banghead:

I wish him luck in the race, but it still sucks to lose 6 days due to his packing error.   >:(

Fark.   That sucks.

FWIW, as Joe noted, there are two JIC standards regarding hose ID with the same "dash" notation.  That doesn't excuse people who sell stuff not knowing the difference, though I'm betting many of the sellers drop ship stuff.  :(
