Custom FD heater to water pump lines
« on: May 16, 2017, 01:55:06 PM »
So I did the heater hose swap that I saw on this forum and it touches my headers like others.
http://www.norotors.com/index.php?topic=12149.0 Awesome right up and helps but I'm worried like below

So I cant weld for crap but why doesn't someone here start making hard lines that make an easy swap kit?
Have it come out the firewall connect to 2 short hoses, bend down to the frame rails and follow it to the motors water pump connected by 2 short hoses.

What are you asking about, aluminum lines for running past the headers?    Some DEI shielding on the rubber hoses should be fine, they're full of water after all.   Never had an issue in any of my cars, even with the downpipe about normal header distance away and that thing glowed purple on occasion.

Hey guys just ran into the exact same issues with mine, My solution was to use the factory metal line for the heater hose. what i did is cut the hose about 6" away from where it mounts to the chassis and bent it straight, which took a little time. I plan on powder coating it to make it look good. It pushes it plenty far away from the headers.
