T56 rebuilds $1299
« on: August 25, 2010, 05:29:56 PM »
Send us your T56 Transmission (LT1 or LS1) and we will fully go thru it for $1299!
Includes the following:
Fully cleaned and torn down to inspect all parts
new bearings
new synchronizers
new front/rear seals
new upgraded carbon blocker rings
new plastic fork pads
new stamped steel keys
new alum shift fork
optional:
at the minimum you want this.....
new upgraded steel 3/4 shift fork (the stock alum style commonly bends) $75
2nd upgrade would be this
new billet keys 1-4 (stock are stamped) $99
last upgrade
new upgraded bronze 1-4 fork pads (stock are plastic) $99

With these upgrades a T56 is rated at 700hp in a 3500lb+ vehicle!  They are very stout transmissions.  Additional broken parts (ie gears, input shaft, counter shaft, cluster, front bearing plate etc) add to the rebuild cost.  We have a good amount of replacement parts in stock to not delay rebuild times.  Tremec has recently increased their parts prices approx 20% with some delays in stock shipment.  That being said we still have a stockpile of rebuild parts to work from to try to prevent delays.

Turnaround time is about a 1-2weeks.  Cheapest shipping method is Forward Air trucking.  I have an account with them and it is approx $130 to West Coast/mid West and $150 to the East Coast insured.  You must pick up at their terminal.  Transmission weighs approx 130lbs without bellhousing.... plus whatever it is packaged in.  Prices in Q1 2015 from Tremec for rebuild parts have gone up yet again.  Pricing adjusted accordingly.

I'll do it for $998, include the billet keys, and ship it for free.

Just kidding.

unless you own a turbo ls9 rx7 you do not know what the fuck you are talking about.

There's a place Louisiana that'll rebuild 5th gear for $2800.  Multiply by however many gears you need serviced.
FC/FD plug and play wiring harnesses, LSx swap AC systems, LSx swap power steering lines.

Yes.  We are still rebuilding used customer units.

Until a transmission is torn down an accurate rebuild cost cannot be calculated.
