Good olé Texas, you should see what you can get here for 500k, look it up online zip:77566
I found a lot in BAR X Ranch in Angleton TX, going to put in my offer tomorrow, 1.5 Acres at elevation with power, lake side for 25k! I've never bought land before I'm debating hiring a real estate attorney to make sure everything is trouble free.

Aside from the land and permits..... what would it cost to build that?  Are you hiring a contractor or playing it yourself.

IMO, I'd remove the dog and cat (or whatever that thing on the couch is) from the pictures just make sure I didn't discourage any possible buyers.

Good luck.

Nice man. Where do you work again? Dow?

Who's building your house?

Are you a member at MSR...? Looks like it's 20 min away.

Is LJ property about the same price as Angleton?

My family own a custom home building company so I should be able to be in the new house for 240-260k That's INCLUDING the land, plans, power, ect. Hoping to appraise for around 325k. Using them myself and my pops will be doing all the cabinets, trim, paint ect,  they started out as a custom cabinet/trim company and his work is the standard in the area, so that saves money.

Lake jackson is slightly higher than angleton, with Dow starting the new light hydrocarbon and PDH facility in oyster creek the area has boomed and land prices all the way through alvin and pearland have increased, tho to you all in California it's nothing.

I did work for Dow but my unit was part of the epoxy business carve out so I work for Olin now, you may know olin as the parent company that own winchester ammunition.

DuPont and Dow are talking merger, if that happens I'll be moving over to that new joint venture, Olin has a stipulation with dow saying we cannot apply for a dow position for 2 years after the sale, but if this new venture becomes a new company, I'm jumping ship!

I go kart at MSR and attend shows and stuff, the membership fee is too rich for my blood to put my car on the track :(
