While the AC Cobra is nice.. I would have to go with the GT40 rep. It's my fav of the bunch.
What a cool car to own. My buddy and I had this conversation recently and he said $100k is a lot for a Rep. I agreed it was a lot but for me I don't care if it's a rep of its built to spec. The experience in the car isn't a replication. While most of us will never own either a real or replica. I wouldn't scoff at a replica because I feel the experience may as well be like owning a real one.

The guy who owns the GT40 also owns the Cobra which is a Superformance build. They're purpose driven as well. He takes them out to Road America for a lot of events so they're not trailer queens. He also owns a beautiful track driven 67 Mustang Mach1 (Not replica) that is just mean as hell.

Great shot Mike. If you had to do this for a job you would be famous.  ;) I do understand not wanting to do a passion as a job. Because it ceases to be a passion.

BTW, thanks for the messages. Love the shots.

Thanks for the kind comments.

I ended up buying another FD. Just over a year after selling the white one. This one is real clean. It's a lower mile car and I found it in Montreal Canada and imported it. It took some time and paperwork shuffling but it's on the road finally as of last week. I took it out and brought my camera along.

Hey Don,
It's a running and driving car that currently has a 13B and a GT35r single turbo and all the supporting mods. I have been on the fence about taking a running and driving minty FD and immediately swapping it.

I do miss the LS torque and simplicity. I've told myself that this car would get swapped when the rotary blows up in lieu of the vicious cycle of rotary replacements.

If I had the room I would drive this while I swapped another car from the ground up. I just hate being without a running car for so long while it's being built. I would want to swap a car from the ground up with a straight roller and get it painted and do a monster stroked LS3 or built LS7 and T56 magnum Ford 8.8 rear. Make it something rear special with no shortcuts. That would also take a lot of $$ and time and some sacrifices. You guys know the drill.
