How much do you really have left, Jeff?  I mean I know these things are NEVER "done" (boy do I know) but how much to be a reliable running driving car?

Putting customer stuff on hold to get the engine harness actually finished today.  Still needs a baller chassis harness for everything to work inside, and I still have to replumb the oil filter relocation and Accusump stuff before I can hit the track (it's on an Improved F-body pan with a regular ass oil filter right now).

It's got a tank of VP's $$$ E85 in it... maybe I can get a burnout video tonight or tomorrow to satisfy the masses haha.  The R-comps have been giving me silly looks these last couple weeks anyway.

We've got a couple shots, and I've got to update the thread (and respond to a bunch of messages), but video and the pro's shots should surface later this week.

Cliffs:  Aero got 'finished', found a couple things to fix before the first race, but the car's STUPID fast.  Short shifting on atrocious front brakes with a diff that one-legs until the car's straight (can't enter or leave corners fast lol) the car did a 1:18.05 on "street" tires (VentusTD's) at Streets of Willow CW.

Car's tech'd for Modified class in Redline Time Attack where we'll be collecting trophies all season.   :yay:  1:15's at Streets are within reach, so I'm hoping that means a 1:45 at BW CW13 at the end of Feb.

Jeff FTW! How much power does that thing have? Jeff have you tested the car at ACS or WSIR? A T1 C5 Z06 goes around SOW CW in 1:18 so your FD should be much quicker depending on gearing and power but Streets is a tiny track.

Updates to the build thread posted last night!

Yeah beating Oli's Z06 (1:18.6) when he's on slicks or A6's or something with a 1:18.02 is nice :)  Ain't a whole lotta dudes faster than 1:20, and none of 'em are on Time Attack-legal tires.  FXMD's NSX is probably faster but they never ran street tires... Sierra Sierra's Evo would be.  We'll see what it does at Buttonwillow later this month to get a real comparison - fastest car in this class is Plattforme AG's M3 at 1:48.

Runs and drives plenty good enough for me!  Excellent work.  Jeff:  Who the F is "Conrad"?  Drive it yourself, young Jedi.  You'll score major badass points with me, anyway.  (Unless that just totally isn't what floats your boat, in which case go back to playing with Barbie dolls and such, we'll still like the car.)

unless you own a turbo ls9 rx7 you do not know what the fuck you are talking about.

Oli was on A6's, all T1 vetted run A6's and most of them are around 360-380whp. You are quick for the class you are running. So Buttonwillow is next?

Enthusiast and Street classes run DOT 180+ treadwear I think.  Modified is DOT with tw 80 or above if I recall.  Unlimited is whatever you want.
Even if I put RS3's on my car I couldn't qualify for Street, and I never wanted to build an Unlimited car, so it's Modified or nothing for me (but I'm running faster than the guy who won unlimited last year, so go figure).

Thanks Tracy!  Conrad = Conrad Grunewald.  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Conrad-Grunewald/240081099387013

Ferrari driving school instructor, Skip Barber driving instructor, GrandAm/ALMS/FIA GT hot shoe, and Formula D top 10 driver/team owner... plus a rad buddy of mine.  Drove one of the Ferrari 458s at Daytona last week, fastest guy I know I think.  I will drive the car on the Saturday sessions (for shits and giggles) but I like winning too much to leave it in my hands on Sundays for the comps.

Stupid RTA rules put me in Modified... When I started building my car it would have been "street" class legal, which is what I wanted to compete in... Cross brand engine swaps were considered "power adders" and deemed legal. That seems to have been outlawed now.
