Thanks for sharing. As I suspected, the banjo fitting is necessary to make that 90* connection on the cooler side, my kit didnít have it. I would assume I got the right kit because everything else seemed to be about right - do you have any pictures of how you routed your hoses? I actually stuffed mine between the block and the steering rack.

And would you happen to have a part number for the banjo fitting that you used? I saw that the coolers use M22 threads and adapters for that size seem to be in short supply.

IIRC SBG supplied the Banjo fitting.  It is a 22mm to -10AN and goes directly on the Setrab cooler.

I'll attach some routing pics.
As you can see I use vinyl tubing from Lowe's to protect the hose, and surrounding parts, from chafing. I split it with a utility knife (carefully), and secure it with zip ties.
The SS hose can be very abrasive if allowed to rub.  I'd do the same if using nylon, to protect the hose itself.
For some reason I can't find the message I sent to SBG with the hose lengths and routing.
Hope this helps.

Also note how close the headlight gets to these fittings as it moves through it's travel.  :o

Thatís exactly how I settled on routing mine (over the steering rack bushing) so I feel a bit better now. Thank you so much for the detailed pictures.

It looks like this might be the missing fitting, expensive little bugger: http://www.improvedracing.com/an-adapter-fittings/setrab-banjo-fittings-for-m22x15-ports-p-588.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw2a32BRBXEiwAUcugiId8xllMsZbpwa1MwdK1C38Tl0RlJLqF8GZvjJdmU_nYVDatvQWCAxoCo0cQAvD_BwE&utm_campaign=googleproductsearchusen&utm_medium=product_search&utm_source=googleproductsearchusen

I was concerned about a banjo fitting flowing enough for the -10AN but the design of the Setrab fitting is interesting, looks very free flowing internally.

I skipped all the shenanigans and made my own with derale cores. No issues but I do wish I had gone with the 212į t-stat. Everything else was custom made with contact fittings and WAY cheaper.

For sure, I just didn't want to do the legwork on making the brackets.

I don't know what's going on at SBG but I would think twice before giving them your business. Going on nearly 2 weeks now and I never received a response to my emails asking for installation instructions or the missing banjo fitting. I paid out of pocket for the missing fitting because I needed to finish the install and couldn't want any longer. I sent them another email asking to be reimbursed for my cost and told them I'll be filing a chargeback for the cost of the fitting if another few days go by without hearing back.

I checked the email just now and have not received an email from you... we always do our best to answer ALL customer questions, if you do not hear from us something has gone wrong.  510-356-5556 is the shop phone, please call/text that number.  If you can re-forward your email to us (maybe there's a server issue or we're not getting your emails)  please try our Gmail  sakebombgarage@gmail.com which should foward to the same inbox - ask for Heath, I'll help you out.

You should have a M22-10AN banjo fitting included in the kit along with the brackets, cooler, and lines.  I would have overnighted that to you if I had a chance to resolve the issue with you, really sorry man :(  .  We'll credit you for the cost as well as give you a wholesale discount on your next order with us - anything from brake lines to Ohlins.

Ask for Heath, I'm the owner and I'll get you sorted out.  Really sorry about the frustrating situation here, honestly.   :undecided:

Thanks Heath,
This is the typical level of service I've always heard about from SBG.  :bacon:
I was rather surprised to see the negative info. Glad to see you're still here taking care of business.
