I have definitely had a surge in T56 Magnum sales and related parts in the past 2 months all over the country.  Lots of people getting projects done or simply upgrading.....

Were you not ordered to shut down too, or did you just tell the governor to FO?   :D

I never took a break.  My main business is swimming pool service/equipment repair/automation and we are crazy busy!  We are an essential service :)

That's cool.  I've been waiting on an ITB setup from Esslinger Engineering, and they were shut down for a couple months.  I'm surprised, as automotive related shops here in VA were all "essential" as well.
My opinion is that any business that provides a livelihood for the owner is as "essential" as it gets.  :banghead:

Just removed the older style T56 Magnum from my gray wide body FD (416ci with LS7 small bore heads 12:1 compression) to install the new T56 Magnum F style.  Pretty excited to get it back on the road in August... need a longer driveshaft now Grrrrr!

If you need a T56 Magnum or related clutch parts/LS engine parts, Holley, Ohlins, etc please email me: norcalmotorsport@gmail.com

Btw, loving the trans!  Keeps getting better the more you drive it, at first I was concerned about how stiff it was.  Thanks again Mark!

Glad to hear that Paul!  Even Canadians love T56 Magnums  8) haha

I'm excited to finally test/drive one of the new T56 Magnum F-styles myself.  I'm running an RXT clutch rated at 1000hp..... so the plan is to run the car n/a (baby camshaft).... and if it doesn't beat my old setup (LS7 427ci with 11.25:1 243/256 .650" cam that went 110mph 1/8 and 138mph 1/4) I will either upgrade the cam to something healthier or just spray a 150hp nitrous shot with a goal of 150mph in the 1/4.

My trans is loosening up and smoothing out as well. Loving it so far.

How did you end up needing a longer driveshaft Mark? Mine had to go shorter almost 1/2Ē.

Largeorangefont-  I was running the original style T56 Magnum which is 2" longer in overall length.  Still haven't put in the new Fstyle transmission.... but I'm guessing the current dshaft will be too short.

Does Tremec take suggestions? I'd love 1-5th of the magnum 2.66 and the 6th of the F-body T-56. Ha

My plan if I ever switch to the Magnum is to swap my 3.73's for 3.27 gears.
That way 1st would be useful up to about 60 or 65mph, and 6th would still be a very tall overall gear. :bacon:

I ordered mine to be swapped with complete MN6 ratios, 2.66 first .74/.50 fifth and sixth.

I'm at a 3.55 now and fear a 3.27 may feel a little tall in first. It would make the shorter magnum a tad more palatable on the freeway. 60mph in first would be pretty beat though. Like a c6 zr1.

The 440ci and small cam would help with a 3.27 though.

The .50 6th and 3.55 at 1800 nets 75mph.
The .63 6th and 3.23 at 1800 nets 65 mph.

Maybe even at a 3.23 that .63 doesn't look all that great on the freeway.

How much extra did that cost? 5th and 6th driving and driven gears I'm guessing.

It was ~450 if I remember right the parts arenít expensive and if you can do the labor you can probably swap yourself. You just need some snap ring tools and pullers.

5th 6th and reverse are all accessible from the tail section.

Ya, I've rebuilt my trans once. The tail section is quite easy. Would have been nice if it were a stock option.

100% donít understand why they donít build it that way.

Supposedly you can swap just 6th too if you want the short .8 fifth with the long OD.

That would require a gear I've not seen before. The 5-6 driven gears on the main shaft is one piece. The spline on the main shaft is only on the 5th side and doesn't run the length of the whole gear pair.
This caused the 5/6 vibration early f-body transmissions used to have. The splines would wear into each other due to not enough of an interference fit. When I replaced my main shaft the splines were over 50% gone.
