LS for the win. For the 500-600 mark you may not even need boost. E85 with great airflow from intake to exhaust and a cam will allow you to break into the 600's. Massive amount of throttle response and torque at the blip of the throttle useful for all sorts of driving. 700+ then FI or nos will solve that easily. Options are endless with LS. Definitely best bang for the buck.

Your car is so photogenic. Especially that front end and wheel combo. It pops so much in the photos and stands out among all others. Looking very fresh! I'm excited to see your progress.

Appreciate the kind words man. Body and stance were my first on my list, and the car is sitting pretty much how I want it. Now I'm focused on power.

Here is when the build starts to get fun, and when I stop talking about the rotary!
I was initially going to do a JZ swapped FD, mainly because of the "cool factor" and I do see the potential in the JZ motors. LS swap has been on my list also but, like I do with every build I made a quick excel sheet to compare prices and parts.

Some of you have probably already guessed where this is going, but I'll say it anyways. As I started to add up the cost dollar to HP number for the JZ, things quickly started to get way over budget for what I was trying to do. Building a reliable 600-700+hp JZ motor cost a little more then I initially thought. So I decided to turn my attention to the LS to see what I can do with boost of course.

The simple answer is it just makes sense to go LS.
-Parts are cheap.
-Parts availability.
-Tuning options.
-Documentation.
-No trans adapter kit
-Availability of different motor types.
-Similar power potential as the JZ.
    And the list goes on.....

So I quickly decide to switch over to a LS motor, and I started search for my first round of parts. Here is what I bought  :)

Samburg Mount Kit, and Orlando's Single LS turbo kit.

Battery died on my one day, right as I was heading out to a meet. Did a drivetrain service as well, since I had no idea when it was last done.
Also tried to recharge the AC system, didn't work to well. Not a big deal though, because of the upcoming changes.

Update 7/29/2019 [Picture Heavy]

The car was pretty much done and road worthy by April 2019. Came a long way from when I first picked it up back in October. The car did have an issue going into boost. That was due to the exhaust and once I installed the Apexi PFC ECU, it solved all my problems.
Iv taken it out on a decent amount of drive and car meets. So the following pics are from those events.

P.S. Bead Maker is an awesome product, if you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend you do!

I like those wheels, what are they?
I'd like them even more if the lips were polished with the black centers.  8)

They are
ESR SR06 18x9.5 +35 (Gloss Black)
