Do you have the ability to get a readout of your sensors? I added a racelogic unit, so the side bonus isI can get a nice little graph of the wheel sensors. The short story is clean your sensors. I couldn't believe how out of sinc the wheels sensors could be without throwing a code. Anyway I cleaned up 3 and replaced  one, because of  damaged  wires and now it works good as new

I have a 99 spec abs in my garage.  With the hard lines.  If anyone wants it, $300…. That’s what I paid for it.

If no one buys this in 30 days consider it sold I don't need it but I have a spot on my shelf for it ,  just in case.

Anecdotally, I'm pretty certain I've experienced something similar to "ice mode" when I still had the 94 ABS. It almost acted like a stability control and sent the car straight in a turn while trail braking.

I went on a mission to find a better system since. The S2000 setup has been good to me so far.
Me as well with a 93, scared the hell out of me almost ice moded backward into a tire wall. I replaced it with a rx7 '99 system, had to re-assign wires and ad 3 if I remember but works great now.

It is not that there is an ice mode programmed in, it is that in the 93-94 abs if the system senses that one wheel is locked up it takes brake pressure from ALL wheels till the stuck wheel starts spinning. IF your "stuck" wheel doesn't start spinning you got no brakes. At some point, this will throw an abs code but not in time.

This is just for the record I had a rst disintegrate when it got contaminated with oil the rxt will not disintegrate if you get oil on it.

Didnt read the whole thread  but  my 2 cents if you get a McLoid dual, do not get a street one with the asbestos friction get the carbon one,any oil the former and the clutch disintegrates

And 2 if you are using a light flywheel get your tuner to adjust  the "FOLLOW" or you will stall out at decell  and coming to a stop as the ecu is expecting more mass to keep the engine spinning

Might be some crap in the filters, happened in our spec miata , lots of yellow flake from gas clogged up the prefilter

been there done that, though much much slower speed. This is the  reason I switched over to 99 abs

I have hear that the dash bar can sometimes corrode where it mounts to the chassis and becomes a poor ground

start by cleaning the sensors and senor mounts

if the mk60 unit can use Mazda sensors I would assume it uses the same signal as the 99 abs system. I I have both 99 abs and racelogic tc sharing the same Mazda sensors. For what it is worth

I can tell you the the mazda sensors will play nice with abs and racelogic tc at the same time no problem.

If you can get your hands on a 99 or FD Abs pump and ecu, it is loads better and  doesnt require too much rewiring

if you guys go for an aluminum flywheel , you might need a retune to your ecu , I needed to have my "follow" adjusted. When I installed my frezelli flywheel
* I M NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT TUNING STUFF AT ALL

I just did this installed a 30-40 amp 9$ Weather proof relay as a solenoid booster, works like a charm. Found a link with a great mounting idea after the fact.... cant find it anyway there is a nice mounting hole  already  on the oil pan just waiting to get screwed with a relay. http://www.classicchevyclubofnoar.com/hot_start_fix.htm
