Thought I'd post this up here in case anyone is interested.

I have a Racepak Vantage CL1, like new, in original box. Booted up and tested and decided to go with something else.

This is a datalogger that does GPS lap timing and can also accept external sensors. It uses a phone or tablet app to display data.

Up on eBay for $599, will sell to someone directly for a bit less. Cheapest you'll normally find is $690.

The LS and LT kits will also be generic enough to work on any swap, as they bolt directly to the engine itself. We also have a kit for the Dodge Charger and Challenger coming in a few weeks.

Improved Racing has just started accepting group buy pre-orders for our V8 swap aluminum FD strut tower bar. These bars are made in batches through group buys every couple of years, so they are difficult to get and if you don't pre-order you're not guaranteed to be able to get one.

Pre-orders close February 28th and the new bars are expected to ship around April 12th.

These bars provide more engine clearance than any other strut tower bar while still clearing the factory hood. That means they will clear most V8 and 20B swaps. The optional integrated brake master cylinder brace helps improve brake feel by preventing the firewall flex issues these cars have under braking. With pre-orders only, you have the option of LHD, RHD, or no brace. Pre-orders also get the option of black anodized finish or plain aluminum finish.

One change we are working on for this batch is making the brake master cylinder brace compatible with the 929 master cylinder. Currently it will clear but the brace is not useful as there is no space for the adjustment screw.

Please note we only make a handful of extras, and the extras are usually all LHD, with brace, and black anodized. So if you don't pre-order you might have to wait a couple of years to get one, especially if you want custom options!

Improved Racing / Heat Shield for Oil Cooler Adapters

We now have a heat shield available to help insulate our oil cooler adapters from exhaust heat. This can also be used to shield the factory water-to-oil coolers on some LS motors from the cats as well. It can also be used longways on smaller pipes. You can use it to insulate your transmission or diff and lower fluid temps, for example.

It's made from basalt, ceramic insulation, and silica fabric and can withstand temps up to 2,462°F.

We just released a new thermostatic adapter with oil lines that exit out of the front and bottom of the adapter. This provides more clearance for certain headers, allows clearance for the LSX and LS Next engine blocks, and does not interfere with the knock sensor in Gen IV LS engines.

We just released a new compact sensor adapter. It features 2 1/8" NPT ports for sensors or turbo oil feed lines while minimizing the space required. Just plumb it inline with an oil or fuel line.

Improved Racing / Thermostatic Remote Oil Filter Mount

We just launched a remote oil filter mount with a built-in thermostat. If you're running a remote filter and a cooler, this will save you space and cost!

An oil thermostat is critical for any vehicle running an oil cooler and driven on the street. Without it, your oil may never reach operating temp, resulting in premature engine wear and damage.

The filter mount is available with a 185F or 215F thermostat. It has female -10AN ORB ports with optional adapter fittings for -6AN, -8AN, -10AN, or -12AN lines.

The large M22x1.5 filter thread accepts a large number of filters in many different sizes. It also includes a mounting bracket for multiple mounting options.

Improved Racing / C5 Corvette Trap-Door Oil Pan Baffling Inserts

We now have trap door oil pan baffling inserts available for the two-piece C5 Corvette "batwing" oil pan.

These inserts snap right into the factory pan and are very easy to install, requiring only the removal of the bottom oil pan access panel.

Adding these trap doors around the pickup significantly reduces oil starvation. These can typically handle up to 1.4 G's without any loss in oil pressure.

Note this kit will not work with the earlier single-piece C5 Corvette oil pans.
