Electronics / Great video about Throttle bodies
« on: February 13, 2017, 02:12:38 PM »
This  is  the  reason  your  Throttle  body  stopped  working  and  you  ended  up  in a  limp  mode

" EGI" Relay  and  fuse ,  I  am  tracing  these  wires  and the  white  green  one  seems  to start  at the the  fuse box  on the  drivers  side  engine  bay, the yellow  relay goes to a 30 amp  fuse a bit forward  of  the relay  fuse  box (the  fuse  is  labeled  egi ),  a  point  in the  diagnostic port and straight  to the blue part of the  blue and  orange  airbag plug.
What  is  egi?  I  thought  it  was  a engine  power  thing  but  it  seems  to  be  air  bag.

HELp please

I  have  figured  out  I was  tracing  a unintended  wire , a  black  white.   I  now  see  haw  this  works, it  is  really  confusing  though  that  they  they  pick  up  power  for the  air bag at  the  egi relay

Parts WTB / Wiring harnesses wanted
« on: October 03, 2016, 05:44:30 PM »
I  am  interested  in  a  front chassis harness  and a dash  harness  for   the  FD.  I  have  these  things  already  but I  would  like  to   thin  out  a harness that  I  am not  currently  using, as  to  keep  my  car  on the  road. I  would  be  willing  to  work out  some  sort  of  trade   to  thin  out  my current  harness  after,  and  sending  it  to  you in  exchange,  thus  we  both  get  thinned  out  harnesses.

« on: September 22, 2016, 01:25:53 PM »
Boy what a shit second day this weekend, racing the m miata in a lucky dog race , a 6 hour one
my first driver puts 2 wheels off in corner 16 at ORP and flattens 2 driver side tires, and wrecks 2 wheels
he limps all the way around the couse, we do a 4 tire change to brand new rubber , and send him back out]
we swap drivers and teh next drivwer has a car in front of him go 2 wheels off and it kicks up a rock the size of a mini basket ball. He hits it with his drivers side tires
2 more flat tires and wrecked wheels
I called it over for us
once getting the car home there is a grocer list of shit that those hits fucked up. Good thing we didnt keep running the car
motor mount, FL baring, upper and lower RL A arms done, both lower rear spindle bolts done, rear subframe shifted
2 days to get it all back together

Not  a  single  burn  out, one and  a  half  road  trips and a  track  day....
THey  are  sending me  new  discs and are  probably hosing  down  my  pressure  plate.
On the  bright  Side Mark, at NorCal Motorsport, AKA gnx7 took  great  care  of  me  as  much as  possible ,  once  seeing  what  happened  he  sent  me  a  new  flywheel  disc  and  offered a  new  slave cylinder.
Macload on the  other  hand ....... I  had  to  mail  this  pos to  them  and  wait  for  them to  decide it  was  broken.

Fabrication / HWLNO headlights
« on: October 22, 2015, 05:47:10 PM »
Because  of  my   disappointment  with a  certain headlight  kit   in  which I  paid  way to  much  money  for the  quality  that  I received, I  have  decided  to  do  a  "re imagining" of said  kit. This is  my  first  attempt at making a  plug  to  make my  first  mold. [attachimg=1][attachimg=2][attachimg=3][attachimg=4]. I  am trying  to  increase  the flange so that  I  have  a  nice  big  piece  to  vacuum bag to.

Road Racing/Autocross / LS3 mods cam springs ect what do I want?
« on: July 24, 2015, 03:31:54 AM »
I am starting to think about my projects  on  the car for the fall when the the big rains come.

I would like to do some power adding to  my LS3

I know this question has a ton of answers
What should I get to add power to my car?
Cam springs rocker ect
To tell you the uses of the car it is track day focused, and does a fair amount of day driving.
I would like to stay with the stock diff, I have a Kaaz LSD, but  I will move on to the exploder kit if I must
I am not at all interested in a peaky HP torque band
I guess I would like more power at every rpm
This is not a stripped out race car, it still has a full interior no rollbar and about 200 pounds of sound deadening material in it I am guessing
car weighs 3100 with me in it

SO what do you think? THe only caviot I have is that it has to have more power than the crate ls3 with the asa cam the 525hp one, gotta stay ahead of the Jones you know

« on: June 09, 2015, 09:01:54 PM »
I ordered freshly ground unicorn penis from this guy refoilsarl, and after not sending me my order for months, he finally sent me a copy of  mein kamppf a blue plastic smurf and a travel size tub of Vaseline, clearly not what I ordered.
I would not recommend doing business with the nefarious character

Drivetrain / 2 questions
« on: June 02, 2015, 12:33:37 AM »
QUestion 1:  I have taken my trans out  and clutch out and am done for the day, I am at the flywheel, do you need a puller to get it off, once you have  removed the bolts?
and number 2: have you ever heard of a slave cylinder leaking where it mounts on the  t56 dex tranny oil into the bell housing?

Fabrication / Show me your Drive by wire pedal mount......please
« on: May 11, 2015, 06:12:00 PM »
Dear Sirs:

Trying heal toe in my RX7 is a really messy and hard maneuver to pull off, I think it is  because of how the GMPP drive by wire  pedal is mounted, if you have a pedal arrangement that you are happy with and can heal toe  with ease, please take  a pic or two to show me what you did to get it to work so well.

Regards your friend
