Parts WTB / FD Gauge cluster with ~100k miles
« on: January 12, 2020, 02:10:12 PM »
Anything close. My cluster is fried along with the mileage which was right at 101k. My longterm solution is a speedhut gauge programmed with the correct mileage, but I need to get the car titled quickly with the correct mileage now.

Preferably from a 87-88 GXL with the clutch type rear differential. Let me know whatcha got.

To save on shipping I really only need the carrier. But if you're within driving distance I'll come get the whole thing.

Good S4 TII Rear.  Come with ONE axle  $400

Good GXL NA LSD REAR $250

NA Axles $50 each

T-56 to NA D shaft- HD aluminum Hinson Unit (you would have to make 2000hp to break this freaking thing)  $175.

Interested in the N/A Rear, but not interested in driving to Akron.... any interest in having it shipped to 21911?

Parts WTB / WTB: 89-91 Non-turbo Rotary Swap left-overs
« on: November 25, 2016, 01:46:20 PM »
My son.... God bless him... Bought a roller and wants to put it back together. He needs the following:

89-91 Longblock Rotary engine + transmission and transmission crossmember
Coilpacks
Engine harness
N/A Rear differential

Basically everything that you won't need if you have one of these cars and you're swapping the engine.

I'll throw down 500 bucks if I can get all of that crap at once from someone in the MD/VA/PA/NJ area. I have a big ol' truck and I can come to you.

Cars for sale / Re: (Sale pending repairs) 1993 LS swapped RX7 FS or Trade

This is my old car. And I'd gladly buy it back if I had the money available. Regret is not a term I use lightly and I very much regret selling this car. When you get the car sorted out (Or even if you don't want to sort it out...) let me know. Tax time is a-comin' and I'll have funds available.

Future donor vehicles. The truck has an Lq4 swap, although the brake lines finally shit out so it's not moving. Wife got a new 2014 Mazda 5 last night. It's sorta cool having a car that can get more that 20mpg now! Never thought I'd say that.  :'(

Side question... The skyactiv concept as I'm understanding it is extremely high compression (14:1 on the 2.5?) Does Naturally aspirated tuning really make a big deal of gains?

The Lounge / Mazda5? Anyone have/had one of these?
« on: July 20, 2014, 04:14:14 PM »
So my Yukon's Brake lines rusted out and burst while I was towing my boat. Luckily it was early in the morning on the way to go fishin' with my dad and my sons and no one was waiting to cross the intersection. I'm not going to mess with replacing the lines right now. I was about to retire the truck to third car/winter status as I've only got a few payments left  on it, it's my wifes daily. She hates it. Guzzles gas... etc... I Fucking love the truck since I dropped an LQ4 in it... but it's got lots of little issues that require extended down time to fix. Rear A/C lines need to be replaced. All the brake lines need to be replaced, which requires a trip to the dealer to bleed the brakes due to the ABS unit. I want to re-gear to 4.10's... etc. Headers rub on the steering shaft at full lock... Laundry list of shit.

Looking at picking up a new mazda5 for the wife/kids.  Unfortunately no other auto manufacturer makes a mini-van/crossover that fits this category... Gets 21/28mpg combined 24, 3rd row seating (I have 4 kids), optional 6spd manual on the base model (She likes a clutch).

There is a dealer down in VA that is discounting these about 4k down to 17k and change off the advertised price of 21k. I recall shopping a Mazda 3 back in 2006 and the deal was similar where mazda tends to really drop the price on new cars to get you to buy one. Checked the credit situation and I'm pre-approved through Mazda credit, although it's annoying that I can't see what my APR will be until I go IN the dealership.

Just looking for some feedback on the Mazda5 and if anyone else has one likes/dislikes.... etc.

That rofo looks familiar.  :D Gas station conversation is always hit or miss. I was on base one time with the FD and some guy teenager was just shitting all over the car. "You shouldn't have done that, you ruined the car blah blah blah" Yeah Ok whatever.

I sold all my swapped stuff, but I still keep something LS powered for when I'm bored. Also in Cecil county.

Parts for Sale / FS/FT: LM7 5.3 Truck motor
« on: January 20, 2014, 11:51:47 AM »
155k on it, nothing wrong with it aside from a few broken exhaust bolts in the head (I can remove them if it's a problem).

It's coming out of my 2006 Yukon in the next two weeks for an Lq9 swap. It runs great, I bought the truck at 100k, change oil with Valvoline Synthetic blend High mileage every 5000 miles.

I think 600 is a fair price considering the miles on it. Good for a cheap FC build or junkyard turbo motor! Shipping on your dime, I can probably deliver it within 100 miles of Rising Sun, MD for the cost of gas as long as your schedule is flexible.

Willing to trade for a spare rebuild-able 4l60e,
