Today I got my parts back from the coating so I'm ready to keep going with this project.

Always nice to receive nice shiny parts even if they are old.  :D

More work done today.  :)

Remember this is a 1989 Turbo II rack , the 86-88 has a slightly different setup on this hose end .

I'll try to work on the hoses setup next.

This week I got a chance too go look for adapters , fittings etc. so here's what I have so far :

Since locally I was unable to find the right type of fitting for the pump I'll have to slightly modify the case of the pump itself to have a nice seating surface for the washer of the fitting.

The high pressure side hose and fittings fits perfectly.

This is where I've choosen to install the pump.

Now I'd like to find a nice ( O.E.M type ) or aftermarket remote Power Steering reservoir I can fit on the shock tower somewhere .

This is where I'm at so far.

Anyone knows if there is pressure on the return line going to the remote power steering reservoir and how big this one should be ?
Martin !

Offline mpcv2000

I have done some more progress with the project .

Here's the reservoir I have picked up .

Moroso # 63491 for Ford Mustang 2005+.

Not the hoses setup I was looking for but for now I'll live it as is .
This is version 1.1  ;)

I filled up the power steering system , plug the pump directly with a battery and powered it up.
Everything looks fine.
I'll hook up the steering to the rack , drop the car on the ground and give it a try next.

So far so good.

Anyone knows what size fuse I should use for the pump ?
I have a 80Amp. relay already but no fuse yet.
