Only the LS harness is needed for the modification.

$250 plus S&H

What do you different from pez, hinson and other competitors?

I haven't checked recently but last I looked Hinson charges a lot for a not great quality work.  Simply put, wiring is not their strength.  I'm not trying to be down as most of their mechanical parts are decent (turbo kit for one) but do you have to make sure they're in stock.

Pez's products are great.  If you want the easiest possible install from someone on the scene, he's solid.  We'll glady refer folks to Pez all day, he's a friend.  My understanding is that he's getting pretty close to a plug and play setup.  It's more expensive than our offering but it should be.  I imagine you might end up with a bit more wiring than you needed to in order to make use of factory connectors, but it's easy.  The only other downside is that Pez sometimes gets backordered (he'll always give you a reliable answer on that score though, unlike Hinson).

Our harness mods leave you splicing leads into the Mazda chassis (fuel pump, ac relays, power, ground etc...) it's about 7-8 wires to connect IIRC.  It takes a little more effort than Pez's version but it's not hard.  We take special requests so if you want a particular wrap or elimination of features you're not using we do that.  Since you're local we might be able to help with the hook up process too (something we've wanted to better document for a while).

The last option is to rock a stand-alone harness... That's bad ass, but it's easy for costs to get very high very quickly.  Hope that helps.

I dont think its a matter of what is done different as much as cost vs time vs turn around.

I pride myself on providing a service/product that the end user can easily install himself with out hassle. In all my years of doing the Harness Modification I've really never had anyone contact me with questions about installation.

I think Pez puts out a tremendous product that he puts a ton of effort into and I would recommend his work any day of the week. He is doing some really innovative stuff and I applaud all the work he is putting into it.

With that said, Pez IS the goto guy in the V8 Rx7 community and because of that his time is pretty scarce. Turn around times can vary for him. What they are, I'm not 100% sure so I wont speculate. But our Turn around time is a couple days which is great for the swapper who needs parts ASAP.

FYI: I actually asked Greg to take a quick look at my earlier reply just to be sure I was fair.

He mentioned that he's got a couple guys helping him now--that's good news for everyone--but otherwise agreed with the basic point that his harnesses is slightly little more plug and play (which you pay for) while Ronin's is a bit more universal and can be dropped into any chassis.

Where are you guys located?  I'm in Los Angeles and could probably just drop off my harness.  Also, is there anything I need to keep off of the FD engine harness (LS2 GTO in FD), or can I sell it?  My PM's don't seem to be working.

For now we're purely an online venture (no retail location).  However, we're always down to meet new folks.  Mike (65imp) lives in Tustin, Steve (Brismo7) is in Orange, and I'm up in Pasadena.  Steve would be the one to do the harness mods so shoot him a PM when you're ready to drop that off.  He'd be the one to talk technical needs with as well.

Steve does excellent work by the way. He did my harness a couple weeks ago and it looks great.

I needed a couple extra connectors (OBD port and connectors to convert my auto harness to manual) and Steve told me what I needed to order to make the harness fully functional.

I had posted my bad experience with my harness mod, but I took it down.  Don't want to damage anyone from the Forum.  We're all family.   ;)

I have a LS1/T56 harness that I need to have done.  Is the price still $200? What information do you need from me to get it done? Also, whats your turn around time?

Thanks,
HD
