99 Spec with Pettit Flares work in progress
« on: April 21, 2012, 12:37:32 AM »
Getting real close to having my car body work done and the car back on the road. Of course I have a lot of things planned for when I get it back, but it will be ready to drive on the street and track at least. Here are a few shots of the work in progress. If the weather is nice I should be able to get it out for a nice photo shoot within the next two weeks. The color is vibrant red, used on the GT-R and 370z.

I dont wanna seem like the asshole, but I think the rear likes like shit. Its too abrupt, too far out.  :barf:

I think you'll have a different opinion when there's 335mm tires filling it all out nicely.  Lookin' good man!

meh. r71's looked legit. The rear picture shot makes me  :barf:

The car is otherwise sexy though, imo. 100x nicer than mine :)

Your car's beautiful don't let anybody tell you different.  A word of caution tho.  I went wide in the rear back in 08 and loved it.  Only thing was every time I looked at the car it looked like, well, a hot chick with small tits and an ass that was just a bit too big.  So in 11 I gave my chick a matching set of titties and went wide in front.  It completely balanced her out.  You might want to consider the same.

It will look better with the wide wheels and tires on. I also think I will do something about the grill, either paint it back or remove it. I planned to go with matching wide fenders in the front, I won't go into details but it didn't work out and I didn't want to wait to get my car back on the road so I am going to wait until next year to do that.

The car looks great what you can do with the grill is powdercoat it with a wrinkle finish and it will look like the plastic grills or just get the plastic OEM style grills.
