Fabrication / Re: Not sure what I think of this dual exhaust.
« on: May 21, 2013, 02:21:48 PM »
i used to hate in body exhaust setups, I think there were a few 70s mustangs with them etc. Recently it is growing on me, first with the RX8 and now with the LFA I stare at out my cubical window (it sits right there all day). I think if it is done tastefully then yes it is nice. In reference to the OP pic I seen him doing that last year, he had a thread on the club about how he did it and it was a "check out tomorrows progress" kind of thread. I think it looks good. I actually like anything custom, as long as someone puts the effort in, it receives my attention. If it looks crappy or shotty work has been done I will say so.

yeah the wire at 21 is what is used. the tach signal should be set up for 4cyl with the speed hut gauges.

there is a local guy here who will take measurements off your front hub and will cnc you new ones, the rear can be accommodated with new axles and a custom rotor I assume.

sold my 10 year established 300g reef last autumn. I really miss it, I had a ton of corals I grew for years, my kenya tree I got at 1" tall was near 24" tall when I let it all go. just be sure to not mix and match all wrong. kenya trees are very aggressive and can poison SPS's in hours. lets see, no anemone if you are going with coral and no corral if you go with anemone. oh, and yeah well you should know the rest, lol.

I'll comment again because I want my idea known.

I think that congress should be deleted. yes deleted. that means that instead of a representative going to washington and getting paid huge money to sit on his/her ass to not do his/her appointed job.

My justification is technology. Ok, it wont be easy but it should be that since every individual is connected to the web, why cant we ACTUALLY vote on the issues instead of having to trust a rich bastard who has his life set already and could care less about the people he represents? lets say every day at a set time the whole nation logs in, hears debates for both sides of an argument and make a choice.

not saying this needs to happen now but it NEEDS to happen eventually.

pretty good but sad too. lets see, I love my country but I am ashamed of how far it has fallen? yes, I suffer from the same thing. hell every single time I came home and set foot on the soil here I was shocked at how miserable americans are and how fucked up it has become. anyway carry on ;)

General Tech / Re: FB radiator setup?
« on: February 15, 2013, 09:25:28 AM »
you really should buy a radiator and make your own mounting/shrouding. You will spend about half as much and have a better quality piece. I bought my radiator for like $100 and the metal to make mount/shroud was about $30. All you need is some bar (square tube or round) stock and some sheet metal.

popping in to add that I found the trunk plastics in great shape at my house. I can drop them off to your shop at any time Josh or if someone wants to grab them they are good to go. I also have both front inner fenders with minimal damage as well as the windshield fluid pump/res. That would be all I got left, I can drop it off this weekend if you there Josh. the only think I would life from you is my stereo remote if you found it in there.

Parts for Sale / 1st Gen RX7 part out
« on: January 11, 2013, 09:00:30 PM »
Hey guys, I'm not affiliated with josh or his sale. But I thought I would help

Front end stuff
Coilovers "racing"(I had to weld te bottom tabs because they sit higher than stock) kit from ground control with 450lb springs. Also the shocks are the adjustable tokikos.
The hubs are from a turbo FC and have the sleeves on the spindles (84-85 strut housing and spindles). Attached as well is the respeed big brake adapter (the reason I had to use FC hub and brake components)
The calipers are from a FD and all corners are SS braided lines.
Respeed v8 sway bar kit
eBay cheapo rotors
Obviously the r&p kit from respeed that uses the fox rack

Te radiator is a stock sized (except its two core) FD radiator with a dual pass
Fan is a Taurus dual speed with a crappy shroud I made to fit the radiator (16" fan on 13" tall radiator)

The rear struts are the same as front tokicos.
The springs are respeed with the sleeve adjusters also respeed unsure of spring rate but I think it's 275 or so.

The brake master is from a 84-85 FB and the booster is from a 80 SA (biggest that fit this cars application)

The clutch is 7/8 wildwood

The rear spoiler is called a Mariah whale tail and isn't too bad, it has a racing heritage from some race team off the club.

The wheels are rota grid off road 16x8 -20 ( or +20 whatever pulls it out if the car from stock) tires are cheapest I could find 205/50/16 fronts (7 years old but 98% tread) 245/50/17 rears but they are rated for slow cars about 50% tread (burnout queen).

Now if I mentioned something that isn't available I'm sorry, I'm just helping a friend out here.

Good luck josh. I u new help call me and ill tear it apart with you
