A torsional damper is completely unnecessary.  If you are getting engine movement, replace the motor mounts.  Anything else is a bandaid.

Explain this sucking method...

I just noticed right before I quit though, the fluid reservoir cap on the MC has a torn gasket...  I wonder if air is leaking out when I push the pedal?

Definitely fix the gasket on the cap, but as long as you have fluid in the system it cant pull air through the cap.  The vacuum method means that you apply vacuum to the master cylinder resivior while keeping the bleeder closed.  The vacuum will suck all of the air out through the top of the system - which is where it wants to go anyway. You stroke the clutch pedal a few times while you have a vacuum on the system.  Once you quit seeing air bubbles coming up, release the vacuum and see how the pedal feels.

the core engine dimensions are the same as any other LS engine.  Swap over to F body accessories and oil pan and youll have no issues, other than listening to what Grannies tells you.

I'm with Blake. Vacuum on the master cylinder works.

My exhaust is one piece front to back and I just pulled it off to R&R my trans.  It took me 20 minutes by myself with the car on jackstands.  If the shop youre taking your car to cuts your exhaust - find a new shop.

I literally just finished the mechanicals on my car about 20 minutes ago. I, however, still won't be bringing it to the dells yet because I have some tuning issues to resolve with my Microsquirt.

Instead I will be driving my incredible 98 Buick LeSabre.............

Fwd smokey Buick burnout pics or ban.

A couple of buds of mine are heading up with their hotrods.  Wish I could go, but not this year.
